Villa Tjok
At first glance, the villa looks very friendly, the rooms are all large and well equipped, as are the bathrooms. The neighbourhood and the location of the villa is very good, as you can reach all the hotspots quite quickly. However, the best thing was the manager, as he is very helpful and no matter if you had a problem he was immediately on the spot or looked for a solution. Unfortunately, the rooms on the ground floor are difficult to ventilate and therefore smell musty. The electricity is very expensive and you have to make sure that it is always available, which is very stressful. From midday there is no sun on the property because of the high concrete wall. The rooms upstairs are partly leaky. Also not satisfied with the staff, arguing against problems that could be solved with "it's worse in other villas" is not a solution and cheeky.
All-round pleasant stay
At first glance a very nice villa, the rooms are all very spacious, large beds and each has its own bathroom. The location of the villa and the quiet village are also positive. The biggest plus is the management of the villa, who made every effort to solve problems immediately. Unfortunately, the sun only shines in the villa in the mornings and the pool is therefore rarely used. A big minus is given to the rooms downstairs, which smell very musty if not ventilated
Great accommodation, great service
Housekeepers were very good. All wishes were fulfilled. Security, etc. also to our complete satisfaction. Cleanliness in the rooms was also very good. The only shortcoming would perhaps be the equipment in the kitchen. We bought some things ourselves, e.g. kettle, chopping boards, bowls, etc...
The Coconut
The flat is very nice. The pool is clean and a reasonable size. The room is cleaned every 2 days and you can have the laundry done for a fee. If there are any problems it is easy to contact the landlord. Sometimes there were problems with humidity, electricity or water - but this is typical for Bali. To summarise, a good experience and a very good place to get to the beach, the university, the airport or the city.
Good value for money
Bedroom is ok. Be careful about the humidity. Kitchen is not clean and smells of cats. Staff is very nice and accommodating. Pool and dining area are very good!
the "place to be"
I really couldn't find any downsides to this flat. Beautiful rooms, a stunning pool, very nice staff and the owner is a pretty cool guy. I look forward to returning one day. It's the perfect villa!

Good location, somewhat dilapidated villa
During my first time in Villa Baliku 1, I actually felt quite comfortable. Some shortcomings were immediately noticeable, such as broken taps in the bathroom or broken cupboards, but on the whole these were things I could come to terms with. You can't expect German standards in Indonesia, that was clear to me. As time went on, however, new problems arose which were not properly rectified despite us reporting them to the landlady. With the start of the rainy season, it became clear how leaky my side door in the room was, because after it had rained, my entire floor was always wet. In addition, there was a lot of mould in the bathroom in the humid climate, which was certainly also due to the fact that you couldn't open a window in the room. My friends in the neighbouring villa, which is very similar, had to deal with completely wet walls in the living room after the rain, which were then provisionally painted over with latex paint, which of course didn't solve the problem. In my last month in the villa, my room felt like it was taking itself apart, perhaps due to the more humid climate in the rainy season. All the hooks in the bathroom broke off, handles on cupboards fell off and when I was sleeping, a huge wooden beam fell off my bed frame onto my head because it wasn't properly secured. This caused a huge dent and was the point at which I was finally fed up with the accommodation. Power cuts were more frequent in the rainy season and sometimes occurred several times a day (including water cuts). It is a pity that the villa itself is nicely laid out for several people and offers everyone enough privacy, but it is clear that no effort is made here with the maintenance and problems are gladly dismissed by the rental company. The location was excellent, I was very satisfied in that respect. I also found it a shame that there was a fish pond full of carp near our villa and a pond with turtles in our neighbouring villa, which were completely neglected. Apparently the animals were bought for demonstration purposes and now nobody looks after them. On the whole, I would rent a different accommodation if I were to go to Bali again. Nevertheless, it was a great time.
Stay at Villa Mahagauri
I really enjoyed my stay, especially that it was possible to live with 13 students. The room was also very good. Sometimes the cleaning wasn't done regularly and I sometimes had to wait over a week until it was cleaned again, but otherwise everything went very well here.
Big disappointment
I would not recommend this villa to anyone. It is run down and nothing has been invested in it for a long time. The cleaner comes when she wants and the dishes are not even cleaned properly and the rest of the house is cleaned just as badly. In addition, there is hardly any equipment for the kitchen, which is being eaten away by woodworms. For less money there are much nicer villas around kerobokan and the rest of Bali.
Highly recommended villa!
I lived in Villa Oasis for about three months for my semester abroad in Bali and was completely satisfied! Everyone has their own room with a really nice bathroom, there are two well-equipped kitchens (there are even enough knives), a great pool in the centre, a roof terrace and enough space for all the scooters and, if necessary, surfboards. I also found the washing machine very practical, which we could use at any time with purchased coins. There is also enough space to hang and dry the washing in the garden. The many sockets and two safes should also be mentioned positively, which is not a matter of course. The desk was also very practical and I liked the fact that you could switch between air conditioning and fan as required. The location is great - not as extremely touristy as Seminyak, but nice and quiet and still with all the important things nearby (supermarkets, warungs, restaurants, fruit markets, massage, beach, petrol stations). It takes about 15 minutes to get to Canggu and Seminyak, and about 30-45 minutes to Udayana University in Jimbaran, depending on traffic and scooter driving skills. Whenever you had a question or something to complain about, Ayu and Manfred took care of it immediately. At Christmas time, they even put up and decorated a Christmas tree. I felt very comfortable and can definitely recommend Villa Oasis!
Highly recommended
Close enough to the important places (Kuta, Canggu, Uni) and in a quiet street, the rooms are all spacious and the pool is pretty cool.
BEST ♡

On the rooftops of Denpasar
As the accommodation has only just opened, everything was super clean and tidy! The landlady speaks good English and is always very helpful. Also the staff (although not English speaking) are always very keen to take care of everything and you feel safe... For the purpose of my stay in Bali (not studying) with commuting between Denpasar & Seminyak, the location was perfect. I'm not a fan of feeling like one of 100 tourists, so I found it a positive to be surrounded by locals! I didn't mind the droning prayers and I wouldn't want to miss the view from the roof! The rooms were very practically furnished, but only the deluxe rooms were really nice and bright during the day.
Unbelievable!
A piece of my heart has remained in Bali. My semester abroad on this dream island was simply indescribable. The country is beautiful, the people very friendly and helpful and the programme varied. I have never lived, loved and studied so carefree. I recommend it to others, you won't regret it! :)
A study semester in Bali
I liked it so much at Udayana... So many things to see and do on the island. I would recommend a semester abroad to anyone!
Teemu
Studying in the BIPAS programme of AsiaExchange at Udayana University was one of my best decisions. The application and all the following administrative procedures were easy to handle. The courses were complementary to my study programme in Finland. Living in Bali was like a dream. The only negative thing was the limited choice of courses, but that seems to be changing now. To summarise, I wouldn't regret having been there for a second. Good job Asia Exchange and Udayana University!
Maybe even the best time of my life...
It was actually a really nice time in Bali thanks to AsiaExchange and their team it was also a smooth start. Everyone is genuinely eager to help whenever needed. The website can help you with just about anything, which is really great! Thank you Asia Exchange !
I can't get Bali out of my head
Bali on my mind Being an exchange student in Bali was a great experience! It's hard to describe how much of an impact it had on my life. You just have to do it and you'll love it! I made so many good friends and gained so many great experiences. If you are looking for interesting learning and at the same time an exotic atmosphere and adventure - go to Bali!
Great experience
Studying at Udayana was worthwhile and really fun. I learnt a lot about Indonesia. I was able to learn Indonesian, which helped me a lot during my stay there. My time in Bali was unforgettable and I hope I will remember it forever. Even after two years, I still miss it so much and if I had the choice, I would go back to Udayana anytime. The exchange was well organised, a big plus for AsiaExchange and both thumbs up!
