This homestay has only just opened! It offers a stunning view over the rooftops of Denpasar, the capital of Bali. The pavilion on the roof terrace, surrounded by a water feature with koi, is reminiscent of traditional Chinese gardens…
The area isn’t touristy, so you’ll feel more integrated into local life in Bali. This means a few things: you should enjoy Indonesian food, and you’ll need a good night’s sleep, as the locals’ prayers start early and are broadcast far and wide over loudspeakers…
The accommodation is mainly intended for short-term stays, but if you’re happy to eat out and use communal cleaning facilities (no kitchen or washing machine included), then Rooftop Homestay is also suitable for long-term stays.

As the accommodation has only just opened, everything was super clean and tidy! The landlady speaks good English and is always very helpful. Also the staff (although not English speaking) are always very keen to take care of everything and you feel safe... For the purpose of my stay in Bali (not studying) with commuting between Denpasar & Seminyak, the location was perfect. I'm not a fan of feeling like one of 100 tourists, so I found it a positive to be surrounded by locals! I didn't mind the droning prayers and I wouldn't want to miss the view from the roof! The rooms were very practically furnished, but only the deluxe rooms were really nice and bright during the day.
