Everything top! Gladly again!
All in all, everything in good condition. Nice landlords. All good :)
Very good service
Ville Villa, great landlord and super handling. Always happy to return.
Landlord and location great
Landlord was very helpful. Good location of the villa
Very good, the perfect place
It was a really nice villa to live in. Domingo is the best housekeeper and always helpful. The garden and pond are really good. There are a few internet problems and the toilet flushing is not strong enough. But all in all I love the accommodation and the staff. In room no 1 the light bulb could be a bit brighter.
All in all very satisfied
The housekeeper and his family are really nice. It was a bit noisy in my room because the walls are not that thick. But the house and the rooms are really nice, especially the super big pool. I really enjoyed my time here.
All in all very satisfied
I really enjoyed my stay here because of the friendly atmosphere and the beautiful outdoor area. The pool is awesome and you can hang out with your flatmates in the kitchen area. However, the furnishings are quite old, especially the bathrooms. I really liked Domingo, the maid. His friendly nature made the stay very pleasant. Only the cockroaches in the room were not always so pleasant.
Really great place
It was a really great place to live for 4 months. The accommodation is not really new and the water is not really hot but for the price it's absolutely ok. The garden and pool are really good.
Super Villa!
I really enjoyed my time at Villa Rajawali! Especially the location, the villa and the family that takes care of this villa. Thank you for a wonderful time!
Super villa because super people!
I think the villa is really great and the location is very good. The only thing to criticise is that the internet didn't always work properly and my air conditioning was often broken.
Very okay
All in all, I was very happy here. The housekeeper Domingo and his family always did their best to make our stay here a pleasant one. The wifi was very poor, and for a very long time. Furthermore, the scooters provided are life-threatening (flat tyres, broken battery, steering, etc.). Above all, it is a cheek that we have to pay for long overdue repairs. The kitchen should be put in better condition. In the video about the villa you can see TVs in all the rooms. That is not true! Not that they are necessary, but then they shouldn't be promised.
Very satisfied
Everything was great, unfortunately we had a rat in the room. The only problem was that Domingo's family lived right next door to us and it was extremely noisy in our room from 5am onwards, as nobody showed any consideration.
Super villa for animal lovers
Very nice villa! Everything went very smoothly and Domingo was always very helpful. However, we would recommend taking a close look at the scooters on the first day as we often had problems with them. The pool was also quite green after a while. Nevertheless, I would definitely recommend the villa! But beware: there is a rat in one of the rooms in the extra house and Domingo's little child screams from 5am and the children turn up the music.
Everything done right!
We travelled to Bali for a semester abroad with a total of 4 people. After much deliberation, we decided against a villa and in favour of this apartment complex. We rented 3 standard rooms, one of which was shared. Due to the poor description and lack of reviews, we didn't know what to expect here and had lowered our expectations accordingly. In the end, we were pleasantly surprised and felt very comfortable here. As soon as we arrived at night, we were warmly welcomed by the owner, the staff and other residents. After our luggage had been taken to our room and we had changed our clothes, the operator called Ketut showed us around the area, an ATM, restaurants and supermarkets. Apart from that, he helped us with everything. He got us scooters which cost between 650,000 and 700,000 IDR per month (but you can also get them cheaper on this site). He gave us driving lessons for the scooters. Solved problems with our international driving licence. Accompanied us to hospital if we had a fever, for example, or to the police if we didn't follow the traffic rules. He can also be contacted by phone around the clock if you've just been stopped by the police or if your scooter has broken down. The staff are also always friendly and helpful. The rooms are suitably furnished. Apart from geckos, we didn't have any creepy-crawlies. The rooms are cleaned daily on request. Towels and bed linen are changed once a week. You can simply leave your own laundry at reception. You pay around €1.30 to €2 for a week's worth of laundry. The staff will take them to the dry cleaners and you will get them back after 2 days at the latest. There is a fridge at reception with soft drinks, water and beer. The drinks are offered at supermarket prices and are simply written to your room. There is another fridge in a small niche where you can store your own things. The pool is very clean and well-maintained, which is not always the case in Bali. We find it positive that the other residents of the complex are very international. We live here with Dutch, Swedes and Belgians who are between 19 and 26 years old. The complex is located in a small neighbourhood behind the party mile. It's about a 5-minute walk to the popular Skygarden disco. Nevertheless, it is relatively quiet here. The university can be reached by scooter in 25 minutes as indicated and the route is relatively simple. It takes about 20 minutes to walk to the beach. There are several very good local restaurants just around the corner where you can get Mie Goreng + drink for the equivalent of €1.60. Ultimately, we can say that we didn't want for anything here and if we did, Ketut would certainly take care of it. We can recommend this flat to anyone, even if you don't attach much importance to partying.
Great value for money
The best you can get for the price. We only had to pay about 50 euros extra for electricity and had both air conditioners on for 12 hours every night for 4 months, so no worries about electricity. The pool and garden are wonderful, as is the location and the staff are extremely friendly. An absolute recommendation.
One of the best times of my life!
The semester in Bali was a great experience! Not only do you grow personally and get to know yourself better, you also learn so much about Balinese culture! The kindness and friendliness of the people, the beauty of nature and how happy you can be with so little! The stay in Bali was a huge motivation boost for me to achieve my goals in Germany. The study programme consists of 3 days at university, one excursion day + 3 days off, for coursework but also for exploring on your own. The team at Udayana University as well as the team in Germany are always there for you as contact persons and are always ready to help! I would do the programme again and again at any time.
Perfectly taken care of thanks to Ketut!
It's not the newest and most modern villa, but that's what makes it special. The feeling and atmosphere in Villa Bintang is always chilled and cosy. You simply feel at home! Thanks to our house manager and neighbour Ketut, you are in the best of hands. Ketut does everything for you and is there as soon as there is a small problem. Regardless of the issue. You can also spend cosy evenings with her, have fun and have in-depth conversations about Indonesian culture :D Thanks to the location, you are not in the middle of the tourist hustle and bustle and get to experience real life in Bali. Ketut's cousin called Ketut has a small shop around the corner where you can buy everything you need in an emergency. I had a perfect time at Villa Bintang and all our friends always felt most at home at Bintang. Simply at home! :-)
Nice accommodation, but a hotel
The house and the rooms are really nice, clean and huge. The pool is great and the breakfast takes some time to plan in the morning before university, but it tastes very good. The biggest disappointment, however, was that the resort is still used as a real hotel and so new guests move in every few days, which doesn't really promote the feeling of privacy and being at home. At the very least, the hotel operation should have been mentioned in the description of this accommodation. Otherwise we would all have opted for other villas if we had known this beforehand. For 21 beds, i.e. potentially 42 hotel guests, there are only 6 sunbeds available by the pool, 4 of which are broken. So not even the current 8 students can be together at the pool. Before you book this accommodation, you should know that it is a hotel and unfortunately cannot be compared to a private villa in terms of atmosphere. I would book something else if I had the choice again. In addition, the university in Jimbaran is 40 minutes away with little traffic and a brisk pace. Otherwise, I am satisfied with the location and the house.
Villa Bintang
Had a great time at Villa Bintang. The staff and especially Ketut are very nice and helpful. I couldn't have made a better choice. Lilly was also renamed Lilly Bintang :D
You can't go wrong with IBSN
The IBSN programme has dedicated and friendly lecturers. The programme offers an appropriate balance between effort and free time. Just right for a semester abroad in Bali.
Great with a flaw
What Mr Passon has set up is flawless in terms of organisation. The application phase via the FH Dortmund is simple and clear. Mr Passon and Mr Papenfoht responded quickly to questions so that there were no unnecessary waiting times. There is a secretariat on site in Jimbaran for IBSN students only. If you have any uncertainties or questions, you can ask the secretaries and they know immediately what the issue is. The lectures are unusual at the beginning, but once you get used to the spoken English of the local lecturers, you can certainly pick up a lot of content. The university offers the Bahasa Indonesia course. For those who are interested in the language, it is really helpful to attend the lecture because the lecturers put a lot of effort into teaching the language to the students. But there is one flaw. However, I think it's a bit of a shame that you don't often come into contact with Indonesian students, because UNUD is quite extensive and the individual faculties and programmes are divided into different buildings. You remain somewhat isolated from the Germans.
