A great place to stay!

Villa Duha is a great and beautiful place. The cleaners are extremely helpful and kind. The villa is in really good condition. It's also clean and neat. There are lots of shops, restaurants etc. nearby. The cleaners clean the house six times a week which is awesome. Your room is always clean when you get back home. All in all, Villa Duha is an excellent place to stay and I can recommend it to everyone.

Short story: the best and cleanest villa I have seen here. My parents were here one week and they paid 2 million for one night and still the villa wasn't as clean as ours. Cleaners were perfect! I highly recommend this place to stay.

Great times in Villa Duha

I loved the place. I spent there about three months and those were great times. Villa Duha was perfect place to be. It's huge and always so clean. Cleaning service was the best I've ever seen. Wi-Fi was also working good at the most of the time. Location was perfect for us: The area is not so crowded and is not far away from Canggu and Seminyak.

Perfect villa

Nothing to complain. Everything went so well and I'm sad to leave. Ina and all the cleaning ladies were so lovely and did their work perfectly. I would recommend Villa Duha to everyone. Villa was very clean and nice.

Nothing better to say. Villa is amazing and very clean thanks to our lovely cleaning ladies ️ I love my big, beautiful room, swimming pool and our common area and kitchen. Everything works very well and also location was nice. I enjoyed my time in Villa Duha.

Beautiful villa with large rooms

We had a wonderful time at Fortune Apartment. The individual rooms are clean and spacious and the grounds are beautiful. Our rooms were cleaned every day and the staff were happy to help us with any requests. An absolute recommendation!

Again and again !

I lived in Villa Bintang in the summer semester 2017 and can only recommend it to everyone! Ketut, the landlady, is always on hand if there's a problem!

Super Villa

I spent my semester abroad in Bali and I am glad that we got Villa Bintang. The villa offers 6 rooms, including a beautiful master suite and an open-plan room without AC, which could get a bit warm in high temperatures. Each room also has its own bathroom, so nobody has to share the bathroom. The villa also has a large pool, which is cleaned at least once a week. In addition, the manager of the house and the cleaning lady take care of the cleanliness and tidiness of the house every day. Both are very friendly and made our stay a pleasant one. It was very pleasant to wake up in the morning knowing that you don't have to wash up or dispose of yesterday's leftovers as this is already done without being asked :) I can recommend Villa Bintang to anyone and especially to students as it is one of the largest villas and you can invite many guests here

Perfect for the semester abroad

I chose this villa because I could book a single room and it was a great decision! We have lived in the villa complex until the 12th. It is clean and tidy. You really feel like at home! There are 2 fully equipped kitchens (or 3, there is another one at the studios). Manni and Ayu are super nice and helpful. The washing machine is useful. The pool is great. The location is also very good! Not even 10 minutes to the beach. 30-40 minutes, depending on the traffic, to university and about 15 to Canggu. Warung Dua and Nook are nearby and have very good food. The street is quiet, you only hear dogs barking in the night. The dog from next door comes by sometimes. Can only recommend the villa!

Perfect for the semester abroad

I chose the villa because I could book a single room and it was a great decision! Twelve of us lived in the villa complex. It is clean and tidy. It feels like home! The open-plan bathroom is beautiful and the beds are comfortable. There are two (or 3, one more for the studios) fully equipped kitchens. Manni and Ayu are super nice and helpful. The washing machine is handy. The pool is great. And the location is good too! Not even 10 minutes to the beach. 30-40 minutes, depending on traffic, to the university and about 15-20 to Canggu. Warung Dua and Nook are nearby and have very good food. The street is quiet but the dogs bark a lot at night. The friendly dog next door often drops by. Can only recommend the villa!

Very nice but expensive villa

We stayed in Villa Breeze for the SS17, 2 rooms double occupancy and 1 room single occupancy. All rooms have a large double bed, wardrobes, AC, a bathroom with warm water and a western toilet. The garden and pool area is very nice and decorated with many plants and palm trees. The kitchen has everything you need and the fridge was new and big. Positive: Nice staff, who always helped with problems immediately Very good location (quiet because it's not directly on the big street, supermarket and many restaurants close) Beautiful garden No mould and no damp walls 6 times a week cleaning Electricity is included in the price Negative: Wi-Fi is very slow (internet is shared with the villa next door) and has often not worked. However, a technician was always called immediately. The accommodation is a bit more expensive Overall the stay in the villa was really good and worth the money. Everything was perfect! Thanks to Ina and Yanti!

Very nice but expensive villa

5 of us lived in Villa Breeze for SS17. 2 rooms double occupancy, 1 room single occupancy. All rooms have a large double bed, wardrobes, AC, a bathroom with hot water and a western toilet. The garden and pool area is very beautiful and landscaped with lots of plants and palm trees. The kitchen has everything you need and the fridge was new and large. Positives: -nice house staff who always helped immediately with any problems. -Very good location (not directly on the street, so quiet), supermarket (only open until 10pm and no Bintang), many restaurants in the neighbourhood.) -beautiful garden -No mould and no damp walls -6x a week cleaning + pool boy (weekly) -Electricity included in the price Negatives: -WIFI is very slow (Internet connection is shared with the neighbouring villa) and often did not work. Ina took care of it immediately and always called a technician directly. -The price of the accommodation is a bit more expensive Overall, the stay in this villa was very worthwhile. Everything was perfect! Many thanks to Ina and Yanti!

Great villa with a few flaws ;)

+ large open-plan living area + 2 guest WCs + large kitchen + nice, large rooms with lots of space + location is great (quiet, you are quickly at the most important points, neighbours don't complain about the one or other party ;) + beautiful view + comfortable beds - Pool loses many tiles and is often cloudy and green - Bathrooms were mouldy at the beginning (mould was plastered over :D) - Bathroom fittings quite old and calcified - In heavy rain, the bathroom (lower room) and the room (upper room) in the "main house" are under water - some doors are stuck - next to the kitchen there is a "storage room", which basically only consists of mould (door was "taped" so that mould does not go into the other rooms) - Pool light does not work / only sometimes (even after we pointed this out several times to those responsible) - Security is NOT available. There is a security post at the top of the road, but it is 300 metres from the villa and only manned once every 3 weeks. BUT we still felt very safe here - the residential area is definitely safe! - Pool is completely in the shade from 3pm Now that we have the comparison to many other villas, we can say that there are a few nicer villas, BUT definitely also worse / much worse ones. If there are any defects, the landlord always takes care of them asap. The "staff" are super friendly and (by Balinese standards) reliable. We love staying here.

A Breathtaking Experience

I did an internship with Asiaexchange in 2015 and I am so grateful to have this opportunity to stay longer in Bali. The experiences and all the opportunities opened up for me. Meeting new people from all over the world and making new friends is something I had always hoped for. I don't feel rich because of money, but because of the memories I have made. I recommend everyone to go out of their comfort zone to experience something amazing. It's something that no one can explain, you have to experience it for yourself :)

Unique!!!

I studied with Study in Bali for one semester in 2013 and I am so grateful that I was given the opportunity to stay longer in Bali. All the experiences and opportunities opened up for me, which totally changed my life. It was really interesting for me to learn about different building materials / different concepts that continued with writing my master thesis about Bali (East meets West). Not only studying was unique, but also meeting new people from all over the world and making new friends is something you can't take away. I don't feel rich because of money, but because of the memories I made. I recommend everyone to break out of their comfort zone to experience something unique. Do it!

A sunny good morning from Bali! I am currently here for the summer semester with the organisation GoBali and have the incredible experience of what it means to study in Bali. The semester has just started and for me this means travelling to Udayana University twice a week. I am taking 5 courses here and will therefore take 25 points home with me. In Germany, I'm studying for a Master's degree at Ruhr University Bochum and will receive 20 ECTS credits. But now to the really important part: what is it like to study in Bali? I can only tell you this: DO IT! Imagine waking up in paradise every morning. You have a house with a pool, the sun shines every day, you only have nice people around you (thanks Karma!) and everything is so incredibly cheap! A meal here costs between 1€- 4€, a beer 1,50€ and 1 hour with the Uber 6€. As I only have to go to university twice a week (every day from 9am to 2pm), I have the rest of the week to explore Bali and Indonesia. You can get anywhere by scooter in about 1.5-2 hours (I live in Canggu). There are beautiful white sandy beaches near the university, as well as ideal surfing conditions! The degree programme itself cannot be compared to the German one. Lessons are often cancelled because family and religion are the top priority here. So if there is an important ceremony in the temple, the teacher will prioritise this over lessons. You should also be aware that your academic education is not the main focus here, but rather enjoying Balinese culture and life! Why GoBali? I chose this organisation because it was recommended to me several times by former participants. In addition, I can take Bachelor modules here and have them credited towards my Master's degree. If I had any questions before travelling, they were always answered within 24 hours and here on site you always have a contact person to help you with everything. GoBali's tuition fees are very reasonable at €1,850 because (unlike other organisations) everything is included! So what are you waiting for? Let's go on an adventure!

Would choose GoBali again in a heartbeat. The best building on campus and nice helpful people in the organisation.

Study in paradise

I am very satisfied! Well organised, quick answers to questions from Germany and good support and committed staff on site. The range of courses is varied - unfortunately you can't switch between the specialisations... This was a great pity for me, as a different combination of subjects would have been ideal. The lectures are perfectly organised and the workload is easy so that you still have enough time to explore the island and always have a long weekend  you can't go wrong with goBali

Maike H. · April 2017 · 🇮🇩for GoBali

Good programme

I am very satisfied with the programme. The enrolment is quick and the feedback from GoBali is fast. The programme is not difficult and offers a deeper insight into Indonesian culture. The founders always endeavour to make the programme as enjoyable as possible

Felix Warnke · April 2017 · 🇮🇩for GoBali

Everything is fine

The study programme is very well organised and it's fun to get an insight into a new teaching culture. At the beginning of the semester there is an introductory event where you receive all the basic information and a very friendly and typical Balinese welcome. The lectures take place 3 days a week. This gives you enough time to explore the island. The online system deserves a special mention. All the necessary information about the student is stored here: address, telephone number for notification if a lecture is cancelled, emergency contact. Attendance can also be checked here.

Max · April 2017 · 🇮🇩for GoBali

Yes you can!

Gobali is a very well structured programme to study in Bali! A very well organised website makes enrolment a breeze. The two founders, who were students in Bali themselves a few years ago, are always available and will answer any questions you may have about Bali. Definitely recommendable!

Olek C. · April 2017 · 🇮🇩for GoBali

Highly recommended

GoBali is the only programme that offers logistics courses and I am completely satisfied with it so far. As it is founded and run by former students, they cater specifically to the problems and wishes of the students.
