Good accommodation
It's a good place to live, according to price and performance. It's a bit dated, but everything is there. The owner is very nice and friendly and helps with everything as much as he can.
I had a great stay!
The staff were very friendly and the stay was good. You get what you pay for, decent but not luxurious. If you like luxury you should look for something more expensive, but if you are looking for cheap accommodation the Bagus Jaya is great!
Would live here again
I really enjoyed my time in the accommodation. The owner Ketut is a very nice guy and helps you whenever you need help. The other people who work there are also super friendly. The atmosphere with the other students was very good. The only small negative aspect is that the wifi didn't always work well, especially in the rooms that were a bit further away in the corner. (4-5 stars)
Would live here again
I have absolutely no criticism for this flat. The people there are like a second family, the owner takes great care of everyone who lives here. He helps you with everything. Even at the beginning, if you can't ride a moped yet, he will teach you and make sure you are safe. The guys who work there are at the accommodation round the clock. The rooms are cleaned every two days and I'm sure they would clean more often if you asked. Whatever you ask, they will help you! The only possible negative aspect is that you don't know the people before you move in. If you get to the flat after you arrive, it's probably already fully booked. The pool is nice, even if you don't have much green space to lie down. Everything else is perfect. The rooms are really nice and so is the pool. The kitchen is small, so if you plan to cook a lot this is not the place.
Daivani Villa
- White mould when we moved in (bathroom) - Wifi is good - Air conditioning is good - we had a rat in the ceiling that we still couldn't catch. - nice owner (Sella+family)
Great value for money + extremely nice people
I only wanted to book the accommodation for a month at the beginning and then stayed here for the whole semester abroad. The owner, security and all the staff are very friendly and help with every little problem. My room was clean and quiet. Occasionally a few cockroaches got lost in my room, but that can also happen in a good hotel. There is a warung right opposite the accommodation where you can eat well and cheaply. You can sit there comfortably and have a great chat with the other Bagus people. The new owner, his family and his staff really go out of their way to help with any problems. He is the friendliest person I have met during my stay and has become a good friend! There is also an ATM, a grocery shop and a laundry just round the corner. If you want to hire a scooter or go on any excursions, I would definitely ask the owner first, as she usually has more favourable offers for you. I can really only recommend the Bagus Jaya Residence to you and I will definitely go back there when I stay in Bali again!

Apple Apartment
+modern rooms +Very good room service (daily cleaning) +Nice staff, always helpful -quite expensive for a room -Food could be better
New and modern!
-Everything was new -young and motivated staff -clean rooms -good and cheap restaurant and spa right next to the rooms -friendly staff at the reception -familiar
Cosy, comfortable, luxurious - Top!
Good service, bright ambience (restaurant, spa,...), clean
Good quality, great atmosphere
I would definitely stay here again. The overall quality of service we received was really good. The staff have already become like our family after the few months we lived there. The quality of the rooms was also very good as they were newly built when we moved in. There were a few minor criticisms as parts of the building weren't finished yet, but that wasn't too bad. I have already mentioned that I would stay there again, but I still think the price for the room was a bit too high
Would definitely live here again
Nice and very clean rooms. New house and no problems with insects or other animals. Very safe as security watches over you all night. Very friendly and competent staff.
Would stay here again anytime
Best accommodation! I really like the staff here. They are super friendly and helpful. Best time at Apple Villa!
Would come here again
Firstly, it would be important to communicate in the advert that it is a hotel and not a house occupied by students. This already restricts you in typical student life. The wifi hardly works at all (usually you can't even send whatsapp via wifi) Apart from that, the proximity to the university is really pleasant, the room is nice, the bed comfortable, the bathroom clean and the view great. The staff are super helpful.
We are satisfied
+ super nice staff clean large rooms great bed - Wifi too slow and range not sufficient, sometimes fails Kitchen is only poorly equipped (e.g. no spoons)

Nice Villa with some problems
In total I really like this Villa, but there were some things, that were really annoying about it. Pros: - The rooms of Villa Tjok are honestly the best rooms of all Villas I've seen in Bali. They are big and give a lot of space for everything with big king size beds. - The cleaning guy cleans the rooms three times a week, so that the villa is cleaned most of the time. - Umalas is a really nice region to live. It's more like a street of villas for foreigners. Thus the street is compared to other streets clean, green, quiet and seems more safe. Nevertheless, there are a lot of street dogs even they are peaceful. From The Villa you can reach everythingelse quite fast. Cons: - How someone already told the big wall on the one side of the Villa shields the Outdoor Area, so there is just sun till about 2-3 pm. Positive thing about this is, that the pool always stays cool and refreshing. - Missing common Area. There is no real Area and also no real Table to eat together. The Gazebo is to high, so we nearly didn't use it all. - High costs for laundry and electricity. Since those costs are not included. You'll need about 8€ extra every week for electricity and laundry. - Especially in the rooms downstairs there is a lot of mould. So you have to watch out to open the windows enough, so that the humidity gets not to high. In the rooms upstairs there was nearly no mould. - The owner doesn't care about some problems. Our kitchen roof was broken and about 10 lights werr broken as well. We told him several times, but they didn't fix it. Especially the broken kitchen roof was really annoying. When raining season started, the kitchen floor became very slippery and it was quite dangerous to walk in the kitchen. - There was always shit of bats or geckos on our balconies, so in the dark you had to watch out not to step on it. In total I would still recommend the villa. Especially the rooms were compared to other Villas really nice. We had a cold pool and Umalas is a really nice region to live. But the kitchen and also some other things should be renewed.
A place where you can feel at home
The villa is a place where you can really feel at home. The size is perfect for 3 people and the rooms are relatively large, so even with visitors you have enough space. The furnishings are relatively modern and the cleaning staff are nice. It's a quiet neighbourhood but as mentioned before you have everything you need close by (supermarket, laundry, and warungs). There are two other villas from the same owner right next door which was really great as there are usually other students staying there. The bathrooms could be in a better condition, but for Balinese standards it is ok and also the cleaning is "Bali style", however the staff and the owner were very helpful when we needed help. The neighbourhood is good. Seminyak and Canggu are quite close and it takes about 30-40 minutes to get to Uni.
Autumn in Bali 2017
My expectations for the student exchange in Bali were quite high because I went to Bali. I am happy to say that my expectations were met and I really enjoyed my stay in Bali. After just one month in Bali, I experienced so much and got to know so many people and a completely different culture. It was nice that you always had someone to ask questions to and you always got help from the people working for the programme, which made it very comfortable for the students.
Studying at Warmadewa University
Studying at Warmadewa University is a unique experience for me. During my time in Bali, I have met many new people. Not only from Europe, but also from Bali. The classes are very personalised and the lecturers are always willing to help. I really enjoyed my time at Wamadewa University, especially the Indonesian classes. When you study at Warmadewa, you are not only studying your course subjects, but also the local culture and that is the main reason why I decided to study here.
Studying at the Warmadewa
I am currently studying at Wamadewa! It's a great experience and a good way to get to know a different side of Bali :)
