TheBagus Jaya is almost a cult object. This accommodation has more to offer than just a place to live on a budget.
Are you coming alone to spend your semester abroad in Bali? Then Bagus Jaya is the ideal place for you to make lots of new friends. Whenever you want to do something, there will always be someone to join you. Even after their studies, the "Bagus Jayans" have met up in Germany on various occasions (e.g. Oktoberfest etc.)
The architecture of Bagus Jaya is individual and offers many common outdoor areas. Especially around the pool you have plenty of opportunities to relax and sunbathe. The rooms are maisonettes and separate the sleeping area from the toilet and kitchenette in the upper part. Each room has its own small terrace in front of the door.
There is a communal kitchen next to the reception, but you hardly ever use it as there is a super tasty and cheap warung opposite. There is also a supermarket and an ATM just round the corner.

It's a good place to live, according to price and performance. It's a bit dated, but everything is there. The owner is very nice and friendly and helps with everything as much as he can.
I had a great stay!
The staff were very friendly and the stay was good. You get what you pay for, decent but not luxurious. If you like luxury you should look for something more expensive, but if you are looking for cheap accommodation the Bagus Jaya is great!
Great value for money + extremely nice people
I only wanted to book the accommodation for a month at the beginning and then stayed here for the whole semester abroad. The owner, security and all the staff are very friendly and help with every little problem. My room was clean and quiet. Occasionally a few cockroaches got lost in my room, but that can also happen in a good hotel. There is a warung right opposite the accommodation where you can eat well and cheaply. You can sit there comfortably and have a great chat with the other Bagus people. The new owner, his family and his staff really go out of their way to help with any problems. He is the friendliest person I have met during my stay and has become a good friend! There is also an ATM, a grocery shop and a laundry just round the corner. If you want to hire a scooter or go on any excursions, I would definitely ask the owner first, as she usually has more favourable offers for you. I can really only recommend the Bagus Jaya Residence to you and I will definitely go back there when I stay in Bali again!

Can only agree with the previous speakers, great place. At first I only wanted to rent it for the beginning, but then I stayed for the whole semester abroad :ok_hand:
Warm atmosphere
You immediately feel at home in the residence. The welcome on arrival was warm. If I look for accommodation in Bali again, Bagus Jaya Residence will be my first choice. The surroundings offer everything you need for everyday life. That's why I give it five stars. Small, cute, not overloaded, simply great
