We lived in this villa for 2 months in spring 2014. Pros: The villa is very nice and clean. The landlady Vony understands you most of the time - we were able to communicate perfectly via SMS (then she looks up difficult words in a dictionary ;-) ) and is very nice. In contrast to others, we had little pressure to pay the full rent, errors and faults (light bulb, pool pump,.) were usually rectified on the same day and she is happy to invite you for a coffee. Cleaning staff came about every other day and a pool man about every 2 weeks. You can also hire scooters and helmets from her at a fair price. The location was quite good for us. A quarter of an hour by scooter to Sanglah Hospital - where we worked, about 12 minutes to Batubelig beach and just under 20 minutes to Canggu beach in the north or Seminyak/Legian in the south. Kesambi itself is pretty untouristic! There are three supermarkets within walking distance (you can also buy a sim card and credit in front of Yoniko), various laundries and restaurants/warungs (such as Di Warung - directly opposite). The pool has sun from mid-morning until around half past two in the afternoon. Fittingly, at this time of day, the noodle man usually comes by with his little cart in front of the house and sells you "Bakso" for 50 cents a plate - then it's off to the beach. Small con: A little closer to a moderately busy road than the idyllic pictures suggest. Nevertheless, the noise is manageable, the biggest annoyance for us was the neighbourhood rooster ;-) To summarise, we liked the villa very, very much and would recommend it at any time. Little tips: The Tiara Gatzu supermarket is about 5 minutes (north) from the house. It is quite large and also sells fruit and vegetables. There is also a market on Jl Petitenget at the junction with Jl Raya Kerobokan. We travelled to Tanah Lot, Sanur, Jimbaran, Uluwatu and Nusa Dua by scooter. For other routes we travelled well with our driver Eka (Ekatours.com) at a fair price.
