Best villa in Bali
I lived in Villa Rajawali for a semester with 9 other people. The villa is not very modern but has great character. The Balinese style of the villa makes it look special and sets it apart from other accommodation. Much more important, however, is the unbeatable location, with the scooter it is only a short drive to all the good restaurants, beaches, shops and bars. No other villa comes close. The large pool, the great garden with the pond and the huge table outside make Villa Rajawali the perfect place to welcome friends, enjoy your time and feel at home away from home. The homeowner Domi and his family also made our stay special, they really are the nicest and most kind-hearted people I have ever met. All in all it was a wonderful stay. I would definitely recommend them to others.
Dream villa - for me!
I have stayed in many villas in Bali and I am totally happy to have stayed at Villa Rajawali this time. There are a few things that could and should be updated, but the villa is very conveniently located, the atmosphere is great and you save a lot of money (because a scooter is included!) and the Balinese style of the villa makes you feel very connected to the country. The owner and his family really go out of their way for you and they are one of the kindest people I have ever met! I would definitely come back here as the villa has become my home for the last four months.
Best neighbourhood/best value for money
I really enjoyed my stay at Villa Kajawali. I would definitely stay here again! For a small price you really get a lot here: a scooter, a great pool, a super backyard with a garden and the very best location. The villa is close to Canggu (the town par excellence) and Belawa beach. You need a little more time to get to the university. Each room has its own Balinese style. Yes, the rooms are not too modern but you can feel the real Balinese style. On top of that, you have the coolest landlord who lives right outside the villa, keeps an eye on everything, is really nice and helps with everything! The only thing that could be improved is the water pressure in the shower, but that's really all. That's why it's worth staying here! You stay in a beautiful villa where everyone has their own privacy, but you can also sit together in the beautiful backyard garden.
Balinese treasure
The maid is incredibly nice. The owner of the villa should/must invest money in the accommodation. The villa is nice but old. Many things could be renewed. The Balinese style is nice but has potential for expansion. I can recommend the villa because of the size, the friendly maid and the good location.
All top
Super nice villa in Canggu, well located!
All top
Everything was great, great service and very straightforward!
Very good, the perfect place
It was a really nice villa to live in. Domingo is the best housekeeper and always helpful. The garden and pond are really good. There are a few internet problems and the toilet flushing is not strong enough. But all in all I love the accommodation and the staff. In room no 1 the light bulb could be a bit brighter.
All in all very satisfied
The housekeeper and his family are really nice. It was a bit noisy in my room because the walls are not that thick. But the house and the rooms are really nice, especially the super big pool. I really enjoyed my time here.
All in all very satisfied
I really enjoyed my stay here because of the friendly atmosphere and the beautiful outdoor area. The pool is awesome and you can hang out with your flatmates in the kitchen area. However, the furnishings are quite old, especially the bathrooms. I really liked Domingo, the maid. His friendly nature made the stay very pleasant. Only the cockroaches in the room were not always so pleasant.
Really great place
It was a really great place to live for 4 months. The accommodation is not really new and the water is not really hot but for the price it's absolutely ok. The garden and pool are really good.
Super Villa!
I really enjoyed my time at Villa Rajawali! Especially the location, the villa and the family that takes care of this villa. Thank you for a wonderful time!
Super villa because super people!
I think the villa is really great and the location is very good. The only thing to criticise is that the internet didn't always work properly and my air conditioning was often broken.
Very okay
All in all, I was very happy here. The housekeeper Domingo and his family always did their best to make our stay here a pleasant one. The wifi was very poor, and for a very long time. Furthermore, the scooters provided are life-threatening (flat tyres, broken battery, steering, etc.). Above all, it is a cheek that we have to pay for long overdue repairs. The kitchen should be put in better condition. In the video about the villa you can see TVs in all the rooms. That is not true! Not that they are necessary, but then they shouldn't be promised.
Very satisfied
Everything was great, unfortunately we had a rat in the room. The only problem was that Domingo's family lived right next door to us and it was extremely noisy in our room from 5am onwards, as nobody showed any consideration.
Super villa for animal lovers
Very nice villa! Everything went very smoothly and Domingo was always very helpful. However, we would recommend taking a close look at the scooters on the first day as we often had problems with them. The pool was also quite green after a while. Nevertheless, I would definitely recommend the villa! But beware: there is a rat in one of the rooms in the extra house and Domingo's little child screams from 5am and the children turn up the music.
I Love Villa Rajawali
I was in the villa last year with 13 other students. At first I had to get used to it, as no one had lived there for a long time before us and there were animals crawling out of every nook and cranny (cockroaches and strange worms), but after a few tonnes of insect spray I got used to it. Then I started to love this typical Balinese rustic villa. It was just great to stay there. The outdoor area was incredibly large and beautiful. That's where you spend most of your time. If I remember other villas, most of them had luxurious rooms but a super small garden. That's where we had our luxury, and the pool is also huge. The only thing that was really stupid was that we weren't allowed to have parties there because some of the students who lived there before us got up to a lot of mischief. I think the partying was completely out of the question. In general, I can only say that the villa is great! I would go there again and again. Rico was also super funny and in a good mood for the most part.
Villa Rajawali - a dream
Together with Lena and Marina, I lived in Batch 31 at Villa Rajawali in the summer semester of 2014. The complex really is a dream, large and beautiful. With the small pond with the iguana at the front behind the entrance, you can recognise the real Bali. The spacious "car park" is also great for all the residents' scooters. Rico, the security guard, has a small house with his wife next to the car park. The price-performance ratio is really first class, there are more luxurious and "nicer" villas in Umalas, but for the price the villa is really unbeatable! It's also great that everyone has an adjoining bathroom. Most of the rooms are large and equipped with a fridge and air conditioning. Rico, the good soul of the house, is always on hand if anything needs fixing - and his pancakes are really good :-) Next door is the super tasty Café Canggu, where you can eat really well! Smaller parties are also tolerated by Rico & the neighbours!
Super Villa!
I spent 4 months at Villa Rajawali and can definitely recommend it. As the villa is very large and we lived there with 10 people, it was never boring, but you could also withdraw from time to time. The price-performance ratio is absolutely fine. Of course, there are rooms that are a bit bigger and some that are less. But I would have felt comfortable in any of the 10 rooms. I haven't seen a comparable villa in 4 months and the parties were unforgettable. Unfortunately, these are no longer permitted. The villa is a little more remote than others and you have to do a lot by scooter, but that wasn't a problem after a while. Restaurants, the beach and shopping facilities are close by and easy to reach. You should plan 40-50 minutes to the university in Jimbaran. I had an unforgettable time there and would move there again at any time :)

I can only agree with the 2 previous speakers. The feeling in the villa is indescribable and simply incomparable with the other villas. It could do with a bit of renovation here and there, but on the whole it has everything you need at a great price. If I had to choose again, I would choose Villa Rajawali again!
TOP VILLA
I and 13 other people stayed in the villa from March-July 2014 and were very satisfied on average. The villa is excellent value for money. For the money we paid, I have not found a comparably good villa in Bali in a while. The villa is not luxurious, but it simply has a lot of character. It wasn't important to us to live in a fancy villa, we wanted the "Bali style" (lots of plants, water,..) The perfect thing about the villa is its size. We stayed there with 14 people and it worked really well. The rooms are a bit smaller, but the villa has a super large outdoor area (it's much nicer to meet up with everyone outside than to sit in your room anyway). In addition to all the positive things, it has to be said that we had booked the villa as a party villa and unfortunately weren't allowed to have a single party, as the semesters before us were probably already in full swing.

After almost 5 months at Villa Rajawali, I can only say: top! There are some minor drawbacks, as the maintenance of the pool, the cleaning of the rooms and the security staff were somewhat neglected after a while. Nevertheless, I can definitely recommend the villa! Had a really great time there! The beach is close and easy to reach by scooter or motorbike, the residential area in general is absolutely great! Not too much going on and not too little and, depending on the traffic situation, it's also quite quick to get into the city if you want a bit more action. The neighbours are great (especially the nice little shop next door, which can always provide you with the essentials)! If you really want to have a good time in Bali and at the same time enjoy being with people (with ten people you are rarely alone), the villa is perfect! :)
