Canggu

The area offers countless cafés, restaurants, coworking spaces and leisure activities. There is always something going on here and it is particularly easy to make new contacts. The proximity to beaches and the international community make Canggu the first choice for many students. Disadvantage: Traffic can be very busy at peak times and rental prices are sometimes higher than the Balinese average.
Seminyak

Here you will find numerous restaurants, beach clubs, shopping facilities and an active nightlife. The infrastructure is excellent and many places can be reached quickly. Seminyak is attractive for students who appreciate comfort and a central location. Disadvantage: The region is comparatively touristy and offers less nature.
Pererenan & Seseh

The region combines the international community and modern cafés of Canggu with a much quieter and more relaxed atmosphere. Between rice fields, beaches and small local warungs, many students experience the perfect balance between Bali lifestyle and relaxation here. Surfers, nature lovers and anyone who wants to escape the hustle and bustle of Canggu will quickly feel at home here. At the same time, the most popular cafés, coworking spaces and leisure facilities are just a few minutes away.
Jimbaran

The region is particularly popular with students who prefer a relaxed atmosphere but still want to be close to the action. The long sandy beaches and famous seafood restaurants characterise the area. Disadvantage: The nightlife and the international community are smaller than in Canggu or Seminyak.
Kuta

The region offers many shopping opportunities, restaurants and leisure activities. Those who like to live in the centre of the action will find plenty of variety here. Disadvantage: Kuta is very touristy, sometimes noisy and for many students less relaxed than other regions in the long term.
Uluwatu

The region offers a relaxed atmosphere and attracts many sporty and nature-loving students. Anyone who enjoys surfing or wants to be close to the sea will quickly feel at home here. There are several cafés, restaurants and clubs and the journey to the university is short. The region is therefore very popular. Disadvantage: Many destinations (such as Canggu/Seminyak) can only be reached by scooter and the distances can be longer than in more central regions.
Kerobokan

The region offers a good mix of local life, modern cafés and a central location to many popular places in the south of Bali. Accommodation is often cheaper than in Canggu or Seminyak, while restaurants, gyms and shopping facilities remain within easy reach. Kerobokan is particularly suitable for students who want to live on a budget without having to do without a good infrastructure.
Denpasar
🎓 Proximity to the university: ⭐⭐⭐ 👨🎓 Student factor: ⭐⭐ 🌙 Nightlife: ⭐⭐⭐ 🏖️ Proximity to the beach: ⭐⭐ 💰 Cost: €€ 😌 Peace and quiet: ⭐ Denpasar is the capital of Bali and gives an authentic impression of local life. There are far fewer tourists here than in the coastal regions. The universities are located in or near Denpasar. The cost of living is often lower than in the well-known tourist resorts. Disadvantage: Less of a beach feeling and much more urban than other regions in Bali. Also very lively and chaotic.
