Info: Mount Bromo (2329m) is an active volcano of the Tengger massif.
Getting there: By plane to Surabaya and then with the car to Semura National Park – Mount Bromo (3-4 hours) or by train to Probolinggo, from the train station by Bemo to the bus terminal and further on by Bemo to Cemoro Lawang (1,5 hours).
Info: The Ijen (2799m) volcano complex is a group of composite volcanoes in the Banyuwangi Regency of East Java. Especially impressive is the Blue Fire, which is caused by the sulfur-containing gases in the crater.
Getting there: From Gilimanuk/Bali by ferry to Banyuwangi (30 min. – every 20 min. 24 h a day)
Wakatobi
Info: Wakatobi is a region in southeast Sulawesi. The capital city is Wangi-Wangi. The region, with its rich Coral reefs and impressing nature is part of the UNESCO since 2012 .
Getting there: From Kendari to Wangi-Wangi (by boat or plane) or from Bau-Bau to Wakatobi National Park by boat (twice daily – 6 hours) – by slow boat ca. 9 hours – with fastboat from Bau-Bau to Wangi-Wangi ca. 4 hours.
Raja Ampat
Info: The archipelago Raja Ampat, which contains over 1500 islands, is located in the northwest of New Ginea of the province West Papua. Raja Ampat is part of the Coral Triangle, which encircles the biggest biodiversity on earth.
Getting there:By plane from Jakarta/Bali to Sorong, via Makassar or Manado (Sriwijaya Air, Express Air, Lion Air or Garuda Indonesia)

Karimunjawa
Info: Karimunjawa a Indonesian archipelago with mangrove forests, white sand beaches and Coral reefs. Ashore you meet deers and pangolins, while under water you can discover sea turtles.
Getting there: Either by charter plane from Semarang or Surabaya to Dewandaru airport or by bus from Semarang to Jepara (Tourist Information Centre in Semarang) and from Jepara by regular ferry (5 hours) or by fast boat (2 hours) to Karimunjawa.

Puncak Jaya
Info: The Puncak Jaya (4884m) or Carstensz Pyramid is the highest mountain in the west highlands of Papua and also throughout Indonesia. The peak of the Puncak Jaya the highest spot between the Himalaya and the Andes.
Getting there: The Puncak Jaya is part of the Lorentz National Park you can get there by plane to Wamena (via Jayaoura with Trigana Air), Biak, Jayapura or Timika. You can get the permission to enter the National Park in Wamena at Forestry Conservation Centre or with a local agent.
Taka Bonerate
Info: The Taka Bonerate National Park is a marine park, which contains the Taka Bonerate Atoll islands, located in south Sulawesi. 15 of the 21 islands offerincomparable Coral reefs, a true paradise for snorkeling an diving.
Getting there: By plane to Makassar and then Selayar Island by a small charter plane (SMAC – Sebang Merauke Air Charter) or from Selayar by ferry to Tinabo Island (4 hours).
Tana Toraja
Info: Tana Toraja is a region in south Sulawesi and homeland by the ethnical group Toraja. It’s absolute special to experience their culture, for example the Tongkonan – their traditional houses made of wood and bamboo, which form the centerpiece of their social life or the traditional dances and music.
Getting there: From Makassar by plane to Tana Toraja (Susi Air) or by bus (8-10 hours) – You can also charter a taxi or car.
