This Homestay has only recently been opened! It has a stunning view from its rooftop Gazebo, which is surrounded by a little water stream inhabited by fish, reminding one of the traditional Chinese Gardens…
The area is not touristic, one feels more integrated into real, local life. That brings along certain specificities: you’d better like local food, and you’d better have a good sleep at night since the prayers start early and are transmitted via megaphones all around the district.
The accommodation is rather made for short term stayers, but if one is ok with eating in the restaurants nearby instead of cooking by himself (no kitchen, no laundry included), it is a possibility for longterm stayers as well.

Review by Ani on 9 Oct 2018review stating On Top of Denpasar
This accommodation was only opened recently, thats why it was really clean and neat! The owner speaks good english and is always helpful… Also the staff (even though not speaking english) is permanently cleaning and taking care of everything. The location is good for people studying at Denpasar campus, or those who have a bike and don’t mind going some distance in the uni. At least it is an area where one feels part of local life instead of being surrounded by tourists only. The rooftop is amazing! Rooms are facilitated in a very convenient way, only minus in some rooms seems to be that there are not many windows, might be a bit dark sometimes. Another point might be, that for longterm stayers there are two crucial things missing: washing machine and kitchen! The security is good, one feels quite safe there. All surroundings (markets, restaurants, shops etc.) are local, for other cuisines it’s a bit further to go.
All in all for my purpose of stay (no study) it was perfect, students however would have to take some things into consideration as mentioned above.
