The Residence is our closest villa to Udayana University. It is specifically designed to cater to a big group of guests who prefer to avoid long morning drives through Bali’s traffic jams. Even if you are not driving it only takes a short 15-20 minutes walk to the university and a 15 minutes drive to Balangan beach for the best sunset spot in the area and good surfing.
The Residence offers complete safety for the guests with 24 hour in-house staff and a safety box. It has its own long swimming pool and sun chairs to enjoy the Bali sun. Comfortable sitting is also provided in the living area.
The Double bed rooms come with an additional sofa bed. They are located on the first, second and third floor and have a private balcony which overlooks the swimming pool. The Residence’s Twin bed rooms have beautiful decor and exclusive service. The Twin bed rooms are located on the first, second and third floor and overlook the swimming pool.
The Residence has a handpicked collection of art from all around Indonesia.

We had a great time at Hastinapura and it really became a home for us, so we would definitely stay there again! The place looks exactly like the pictures. The team taking care of the house is very young, always friendly and helpful! The only thing to complain about is the kitchen, because it’s not that clean, as well as the slow WiFi.

All in all, Jimbaran Luxury Residence is a great place to stay at during a semester abroad in Bali. The rooms are in good condition and the staff is very friendly. There are however a couple of downsides, such as very slow internet and that the kitchen is not available for use. But to be honest you won’t need a kitchen in Bali as it is extremely cheap to order food or to visit a restaurant. The location is great because of how close it is to udayana university, but if you are looking for clubs and bars you should consider another location further north.

They promised a good internet connection and running warm water, but this was temporarily not available. The staff is great, could find no better one somewhere else.
